Folio15 is a web directory built on the principles of an expedition log: every site in the record has been observed, noted, and filed in one of twenty-two named sections. The result is a structured, navigable account of the open web across a broad range of sectors and geographies.
The idea behind Folio15 is straightforward. The internet contains an enormous volume of active, legitimate businesses that are difficult to locate without a reliable reference. This directory attempts to provide that reference — a charted folio that any visitor can browse without prior knowledge of the terrain.
Each of the 834 entries currently in the log represents an independently operating website. Sites span industries from clinical health services and legal practices to travel operators and industrial manufacturers. The sections were chosen to reflect the most common categories encountered during the survey, with Open Terrain available as a catchment for everything that falls between defined headings.
Submitting a site to Folio15 is open to anyone with an active, publicly accessible domain. Submissions are reviewed against basic criteria — the site must be reachable, identifiable, and not already present in the log — before being added to the relevant section.
Folio15 does not evaluate the quality, credibility, or commercial standing of listed sites. It is a survey record, not an editorial recommendation. Visitors should apply their own judgement when acting on any entry in the log.
